When you’re ready to take your next step toward a career in diesel technology, Oklahoma Technical College is ready to help. Our Diesel Technology program trains you how to expertly handle every aspect of maintaining, repairing, and overhauling these big, bad boy engines. Our expert instructors give you all the hands-on, direct experience and practice you could want.
Our students learn how to inspect diesel engines from top to bottom. You’ll learn how to diagnose and repair all kinds of mechanical problems, as well as how to conduct failure analysis and perform preventative maintenance on electronic circuits, cooling systems, truck brake systems, steering and drive trains, hydraulics, trailer service, converters, alignment and more.
In our fully stocked shop, you’ll get your hands dirty in a good way, and you’ll train extensively on two full size big rigs as well as multiple diesel engines of different sizes. By the time you graduate, you’ll be confident and prepared to step into any real world job environment from day one.
Our program takes as little as eight and a half months to complete. And when you graduate, we set you up with a fully stocked kit of tools to help launch out into your new career — including a Snap-On Blue Point tool chest, sockets, wrenches, power tools, and more.
