Electrical Technician Training
The Electrical Technology Program will prepare you for entry-level employment as a technician in the design, operation, service, repair, and installation of electrical systems and equipment. The Program combines theory with extensive practical hands-on training designed to simulate the actual work environment and skills needed to excel in this challenging field. In laboratories, you have the opportunity to operate, install, and repair a diverse range of field equipment.
Maximize your career potential by getting your first thousand hours towards the Oklahoma Residential Electrical Journeyman or Oklahoma Unlimited Electrical Journeyman. OTC is certified with the CIB (Construction Industry Board) in the State of Oklahoma.

Acquired Skills
During your time here you will be taught the fundamentals, theory of operation, diagnosis and repair of the following areas:
- Diagnose, repair and maintain common electrical system problems.
- Adhere to environmental laws and regulations as applied to electrical industry.
- Demonstrate and use terminology related to the industry.
- Embrace the model of lifelong learning, accessing new information to remain current in industry trends.
- Detailed instruction in the National Electrical Code.
