Choosing a New Car
When we shop for a new car there are a few very important factors that we should look for. Among these are:
- Safety
- Comfort
- Reliability,
- Styling
- Performance
Occasionally customers ask me for car buying tips. Most of them asking what to definitely not buy, which is hard to answer because we don’t all like the same kinds of cars. However, Consumer Reports has published a short list of vehicles that they don’t recommend. Including the:
- Volkswagen Beetle
- Nissan Versa sedan
- Mercedes-Benz CLA
- Honda Crosstour
- Scion tC
- Mitsubishi Outlander
But don’t worry, they give you a list of some viable, better choices. Read more here.
I’m not saying that I agree with their criteria but many people find Consumers Report to be a trusted source, so it’s worth a look.
Once you have chosen your next vehicle it will be necessary to keep it maintained to ensure the quality of the vehicle. At Oklahoma Technical College we teach our students the skills necessary to maintain cars to their factory standards.
