GI Bill and Tuition Assistance
As a veteran, you and your dependents may be entitled to VA education or other benefits to support participation in approved programs. As a military-friendly institution, Oklahoma Technical College accepts many forms of veterans’ assistance including, but not limited to:
- Chapter 30 – Montgomery GI Bill®
- Chapter 31 Benefits – Veteran Readiness and Employment
- Chapter 33 GI Bill® (Post-9/11 GI Bill®)
- Chapter 35 Benefits – Dependent Educational Assistance
- Chapter 1606 – (Applicable to Selected Reserve and National Guard members; not Active Duty)
Benefit coverage varies from full to partial tuition assistance. Assistance may be available for books, fees, and housing allowances.

Workforce Oklahoma
Workforce Services at OESC is responsible for administering Labor Exchange programs and services to employers and job seekers through local Workforce Oklahoma Centers strategically located throughout the state. Their mission is to provide a smooth transition to self-sufficiency and economic stability for all Oklahoma citizens.
Oklahoma Promise
If the student meets the program’s requirements, Oklahoma’s Promise will pay their tuition at an Oklahoma public two-year college or four-year university. It will also cover at least a portion of tuition at an Oklahoma-accredited private college or university or for certain courses offered at public technology centers that qualify for credit from an Oklahoma public two-year college. The scholarship amount, however, does not cover items such as fees, books, supplies, or room and board.
