Program Overview

The Automotive Technology program at Oklahoma Technical College is all about learning through doing. Get your hands dirty with hands-on learning sessions in our fully functioning auto shop as you work on our in-house fleet of vehicles. You will have time in the shop each day for hands-on learning, preparing you to enter the workforce with the confidence to handle real-life situations in the automotive industry.

In just eight and a half months you'll be fully trained for a new career in the auto industry, and students in this program are prepared to obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in all eight performance areas:

Engine Repair, Automatic Transmission, Manual Drive Transmission, Suspension and Steering, Brake Systems, Electrical Systems, Heating & Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance.

Upon program completion you will receive a kit full of tools to help set you up in your new career including a Snap-On Blue Point tool chest, sockets, wrenchs, power tools, and more, you will be ready for anything on day one.
