Winterize Your Home with HVAC-R Tips

Winter is here! Is your home ready?  Here are a few tips to help you winterize your home.

Tip 1. Change your Air Filters

A dirty air filter clogs your air intake and makes your system work harder, causing less the perfect performance and a higher bill.

Tip 2: Check Your Windows and Doors for Air Leaks

Cold air coming in means hot air going out. A viscous cycle for your heating system.

Tip 3: Shut the Vent in your Crawl Space

Your crawl space may slip your mind. Be sure you check your vents and close them before the harsh temperatures of Winter hit.

Tip 4: Have your Water Heater Insulated 

Water HEater.When it gets colder outside, your water heater has to work overtime. Make sure it is insulated properly to help hold in the heat.

Tip 5: Have your Heating System Serviced
